This 3-month course on Fashion Design is packed with all tools, tips and tricks whether you want to pursue a career in the field or are merely looking for ways to revamp your personal wardrobe.

Course structure.

Classes will be held from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. every Saturday.






Key learning outcomes:

• Basic introduction to surface embellishments - how to create a motif or embellished sample for a formal outfit.
• Design development inspired from a theme and presentation 
• Figure drawing that would lead to fashion illustrations
• Painting and coloring techniques for fashion illustrations 
• Fabric research and display
• Printing techniques 
• Sewing techniques to achieve a highly finished end product
• Design exploration in fashion, in-depth learning of fashion related terms, design elements, key elements and silhouettes
• Participants will be able to create a collection. Based on the inspiration linked to a selected theme and supported by appropriate technical files and presentation techniques, they will make the final project coherent and contemporary. 
• Display of final collection with a photo shoot and window setup

About the instructor: 

Malaika Riasat is a fashion graduate and has been working in the fashion industry since 2004. She also has to her credit, over 10 years of teaching experience with various institute and universities including Hunerkada and MIUC Roots International. To stay up to date with national and international fashion trends, she has attended multiple international workshops and courses in Bangkok and Dubai.
