Alkhidmat conducted a rescue and relief operation right after a suicide bomber attacked the Quetta

Quetta, 08-08-2016: Alkhidmat Foundation conducted a rescue and relief operation right after a suicide bomber attacked the Quetta Civil Hospital in Quetta. The incident resulted in 54 casualties. Alkhidmat Foundation’s rescue and relief team, which constituted of 15 volunteers was dispatched at the site immediately after the news. Mr. Iftikhar Ahmad (District President AKF Quetta) supervised the operation with the help of Mr. Khurram Shehzad (In-charge Ambulances & Diagnostic Unit Quetta). Two ambulances from Alkhidmat Foundation were active on the site. Alkhidmat’s ambulances carried 10-12 dead bodies from Civil hospital Quetta to CMH Quetta.
Three of Alkhidmat Foundation’s ambulances were dedicated to shifting the critically injured to Karachi for better medical treatment.
The dead bodies were handed over to their families/relatives through Alkhidmat ambulances outside Quetta (300-400 km apart). Alkhidmat Foundation urges its supporters to donate blood and pray for the speedy recovery of the injured.
Alkhidmat Foundation’s delegate headed by Mr. Asim Sanjrani later visited the CMH hospital to ask after the injured. Mr. A. Wahid Nasar, Mr. Iftikhar Kakkar, Mr. Wali Khan Shakir were also part of the delegate. They also met with the lawyer leadership headed by Mr. Hadi Shakeel and Mr. Ali Ahmed Kurd. The delegate extended their condolences and prayed for the deceased.
