CM KPK Pervez Khattak Inaugurated the Tehsil Headquarter Hospital in Pattan Kohistan

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak today inaugurated the Tehsil Headquarter hospital which was completed with a cost of Rs.304 million having 100 beds and separate OPD for male and female. The hospital has a doctor hostel, nursing hostel, administration block, ten residential houses C-type, five residential houses B-type, six other residential houses and five houses for medical officers. The newly constructed hospital also has gynae block, Operation Theater and other allied facilities and services.  
The Chief Minister also inaugurated black topping and widening of 4 Km long Pattan Bazar road in district Kohistan that will cost Rs. 104 million.
Later presiding over a meeting of the local administration during his day long visit to Pattan Kohistan the Chief Minister called upon the government officials to utilize their energies for serving the people of backward areas. The delay of developmental schemes should have a justifiable reason otherwise the funds provided by the government for the services to the people would drain and the people would stay un-served that was an injustice to the people. The government officials must consult the elected representatives for the services in all social sectors because these elected people know better the real problems of the people. He directed the local administration and other officials to do justice with their responsibilities. He said he would send a team from Peshawar to look into the availability of medicines and other services in all health care units in the district and the team would also ask the people about their level of satisfaction from the services being given to people in these health care units. He expressed his annoyance over the non preparation of PC-1 for the completed schemes and directed the concerned officials to rush and prepare the PC-1s of these schemes immediately. The officers should convene a meeting forth nightly and record the pace of progress on these schemes.
 In education he directed to draw a clear picture about the services so far provided to their areas. He also directed for functionality of the parent teacher council who would indicate about the fulfillment and completion of missing facilities. The districts he added would get their share and therefore the education department immediately ensure the recruitment of staff in the education institutions. He also directed to move a case in this regard.
In health sector, the Chief Minister directed to ensure services in all the BHUs, RHC, Tehsil headquarter hospital and others. His government has already increased the salaries of doctors upto 2 lac and therefore all districts would have doctors for their BHUs and other staff. He asked the doctors and other officials to deliver so that the people of backward areas should not wander from post to pillar for getting these services.
The Chief Minister Inspection team would visit the area, it would ask the people about the services and medicines available in these institutions, he added.
In irrigation sector, the Chief Minister was briefed about the damages caused by the recent flood in Kohistan. The Chief Minister directed the irrigation department to prioritize the channels and plan their rehabilitation. The district administration should also gave priority to building, health care units and roads damaged by the recent flood in the area, he maintained.
In education sector, the Chief Minister said his government provided equal funding to all public sector educational institutions and he appreciated the brilliant result produced by district Kohistan adding that the other day he had awarded teachers throughout the province who delivered and gave extra ordinary result. He assured that the deficiency of staff, furniture and missing facilities etc in education sector throughout the district would be provided. He wanted to see the district continued take off, he added.
In public health engineering, the Chief Minister directed to gave him a detailed list of damages so that his government could take care of them.
Regarding the local issue relating to the land acquisition for Dassu Dam, the Chief Minister said that it should be settled and amicably. It is related to the federal government and the better way was that it should be settled by the federal government or whatever the verdict of the court would be, that would be implemented.
